Great food, not your average from the freezer meals, felt like genuine home made. Great seating area. Young bloke who served us was very friendly and polite. Great to see.

What an amazing little stop on our road trip. We hadn't had our morning coffee so we were fanging. The lady here was super friendly and makes an amazing coffee my double shot was divine. My wife got a skinny Mocha and said it was the best one she's ever had! My wife got a break wrap with bbq sauce and it was mouth watering definitely recommended stopping here on your way through

A very cool diner with freshly made home cooked food! The coffee was excellent and I am very fussy! We had the fritters and they were very yummy! Plenty of tables to chill out and you can even get a sticker if you are extra nice! So what are you waiting for stop in today!

The pies here are outrageously good. Got a Smokehouse beef with mushy peas for $8 and it was one of the best pies I've ever eaten, and I come from the north of England! People very kind too and enjoyed a coffee and a pepsi spider while we were here. Learning about the story of the town pies being handed out during the war on the placard outside was really interesting too! You'll spot it on the road, just look out for the polar bear :)

Spent this weekend travelling from Cairns to Brisbane (1600kms) so was on a tight schedule. I am rarely at Bororen during the day so I was surprised to have so many options mid-afternoon. I chose the most interesting looking place in town and I was not disappointed. Red Rocket Diner is on the left of the highway if you're heading north. I parked outside and wandered in to see a quirky but comfortable set up of a caravan and seats (all covered). As I'm on a schedule I wanted something I could grab and eat on the road. For $13 I ordered a ham and cheese toasties, and black tea (meal deal I think). I have no idea what cheese it was, but it was absolutely perfect. I was a good couple of kilometres away before I started eating so obviously too late to let the Diner know (hence this review). Easily one of the best, and most economical toasties I've had in a long time. The Red Rocket team were also very caring and concerned. My glass keep cup does get hot with hot drinks and the team offered me extra serviettes to allow me to carry it to the car. If you're a road traveller, and you're on your way through, and it's open, do yourself a favour, and stop in. Loos are just across the road and petrol 100 metres away. You won't be disappointed. Also to note, while I was waiting another customer commented on how good the coffee was. I'm not a coffee drinker, but if you are, then you might love it too.

Cool little roadside diner, a fresh made cheesy, egg and bacon wrap and a decent coffee, not a Bain Marie in sight, everything cooked fresh and the place is spotless. Fast, friendly service, a great stop on a road trip.

Stopped here for lunch as I was travelling through. Their hotdogs are superb, highly recommend trying them. There is convenient parking across the road for people towing caravans or boats.

A great stop on the Bruce Hwy to refuel and relax. I’ve stopped at the Red Rocket a few times. It’s across the road from the dog park and public car park and toilets. This quaint little cafe out of a retro van offers the most delicious pies and toasties and more. A very good hot chocolate too. The outdoor dining allows my dog to sit as I eat too.
